Swim Spa Electrical

Swim Spa Pad

The pad for the swim spa was poured today with exposed aggregate concrete to match the porch concrete.

Work on the Swim Spa

In an effort to help get this project going, Sue and I started doing some of the portions that we could:

1. Remove fencing where the spa concrete pad will go.

2. Install fencing needed to retain the dogs in the dog pen.

3. Design a plan and start constructing a method for the front fence/gate to be removed and reinstalled.

4. Reroute two sprinklers and drip line located in the spa pad concrete pad area between the existing pad and curb to outside of the curb.

The plan to make the two front gate posts removeable so that the spa can be brought in and removed in the future is to use this aluminum tube inside the cut posts. This tube will be squared up a bit with a 20 ton press and placed inside the posts spanning into the post underground and the above ground post. The post/tube will be fastened using bolts.

Portion of the back fence moved to gate post to house to retain the dogs in the dog pen

Post fastened to the house

Old, now unused gutter drain pipe. This will be moved to the right to clear the new spa concrete pad

Precast concrete for one of the house vents in the area of the new spa concrete pad

Vent cover I started building for all the vents

Gate posts removed

Swim Spa Plan

We are adding a swim spa to our porch. Here is a preliminary plan.

Chase Update

Since Chase has not been evaluated for our doggie daycare place we took Chase with us when we visited the coast at Crescent City. Chase later got to visit the Trees of Mystery. He didn't seem to mind the gondola for the SkyTrail.
