Olhausen Pool Table Delivery

Terry Grigsby of Southern Oregon Billiards and his wife Alexis delivered the table today. Cloth was not the correct color so the correct cloth will be delivered next week and the table assembly will be done. Also, four que sticks and a rack are yet to be delivered.

Pool Table Light

 Just finished the pool table light. A little Steam Punk, barn wood, and dungeon theme. Still have some paint touch up and cut off the extra chain link. Found this 1952 vintage cast iron phone box to house the two LED power supplies and remote dimmer switch. Used steel black pipe that I painted satin black. Barn wood is 3/8" thick Cedar attached to a pine 2" x 6" x 8' beam. Took down and returned the fan light back to original design. 















I have since added some Quail silhouettes on the chain...

John's Almond Delight

This is a chocolate candy that is sugar free.

Ingredients:

1. 1 bag of Lilly's Milk Chocolate

2. 1 bag of Lilly's White Chocolate

3. Unsalted Toasted Almonds

4. Unsweetened flaked or shredded Coconut

5. Crushed Red Pepper

Empty bag of Milk Chocolate in a glass container and microwave at level #3 for 5 minutes. As this is heating, chop Almonds to small chunks. and prepare parchment paper on a cookie sheet.

When chocolate is melted add chopped Almond and pepper. Mix until consistent. Pour out onto parchment paper and spread until 1/4" to 3/8" thick. Place in freezer.

As the Chocolate/Almond mixture is cooling, place the White Chocolate in a same glass container and microwave at level #3 for 4 minute. When melted, add Flaked Coconut and mix until consistent. Pour out on top of the cooled Milk Chocolate mixture and spread across entire chocolate area.

Place in oven at 300° until starting to brown coconut protruding above the white chocolate. Turn off oven and turn on broiler to brown for 2 minutes or until desired browning.

Mixture ready for oven

Heated in 300° oven

Broiled to toast the top


Let cool then cut into bite size squares

At this point I like to put into refrigerator to cool before handling.
