July Trip

July trip went well. Bought a air mattress at Wall Mart and a bunch of other stuff. Neighbor, Oris, brought over a couch, love seat and dinette set. We met both neighbors, both are great. We got a pie for Oris from Powderhorn Cafe:

Kate was a charm. We walked into the joint and got the look from all there "What the hell are you doing here" but Kate piped up and said "Easy boys, these may be potential customers". We sat down and Kate came over to take our order. Somewhere in the conversation she said "Bum Fuck Egypt", didn't expect that but she is one to speak her mind...

Anyway, got the gate working so that a code opens it and it automatically closes. Replaced the dead bolt on the human garage door with a combo so the landscaping folks can fiddle with the irrigation system control unit. Next time we go out will probably turn on the Internet and maybe get sat TV.

Thinking that Fall would be the next best time to go back out...

Send letters to the two neighbors we have and got a call from one of them. Plan for a meet and greet with them while out there. This neighbor has mowed our lawn and has kept track of the goings on. Sounds like they will be good neighbors... We do have a concierge come by once a week and take care of things. We get a weekly email on the status. Talked to the internet service folks and struck a deal since we will only spend 1-2 weeks 3-4 times a year out there. Gunna get 2 mb/s for $10 a month. Have not set up Direct TV yet.
